7L & Beyonder (2)
Welcome To Shaftville U.S.A. - Vinyl Thug Music

Listening notes

Released in 2005 on Brick Records, *Welcome To Shaftville U.S.A. - Vinyl Thug Music* is a vinyl record from the act credited as 7L & Beyonder (2), carrying catalog number TEG-BRK 051. The release is catalogued under the genres of Funk, Funk / Soul, Hip Hop, and Instrumental, a combination that situates it at the intersection of those traditions without favoring any single one on paper.

The record spreads eight tracks across two sides. The A-side opens with "Hammering On" and moves through "No Heart Mafukas," "Safety Bounce," and "La La La." The B-side carries "Bass Shiver," "Where The Action Is," "That Slow Position," and closes with "Puffing Billy." Track durations are not documented in the available data. The titles alone suggest an aesthetic leaning toward the blunt and kinetic — "Bass Shiver," "Safety Bounce," and "Hammering On" each carry a physicality in their naming — though what that means in practice is a matter for the listener rather than this entry.

The subtitle *Vinyl Thug Music* is worth noting as a declared framing device. Whether that designation is aspirational, descriptive, or ironic is not something the available facts can settle, but it does indicate an intentional positioning of the release in relation to the format itself. The choice of vinyl as the documented format aligns with that framing in a straightforward way.

Brick Records is the issuing label. Beyond that identification, no additional label context is available here to confirm. Prospective fact checkers should verify any personnel credits, pressing details, or related releases independently before this draft is considered complete.
