Alligatoah
The Vinyl Collection

Listening notes

Alligatoah's The Vinyl Collection, released in 2023 on the trailerpark label, is a box set compiling four of the artist's albums onto vinyl: Triebwerke, Musik Ist Keine Lösung, Schlaftabletten, Rotwein Teil V, and Rotz & Wasser. The set spans the Hip Hop and Pop Rap genres and presents a substantial body of work across four individual records.

The first disc, Triebwerke, runs across two sides and includes fourteen tracks. It opens with "Hört, Hört (Intro)" and closes side B with "Amnesie," running just over four minutes. Side C introduces the first of a recurring "Münchhausen" sequence, a structural pattern that continues across the record through parts I, II, and III. The album concludes with "Trauerfeier Lied" at 4:14.

Musik Ist Keine Lösung follows a similar double-sided layout across two more sides and features its own recurring interlude series, "Mama, Kannst Du Mich Abholen," appearing in three parts across sides B, C, and D. The record closes with the title track at 4:12.

The third album, Schlaftabletten, Rotwein Teil V, is the most expansive of the four, filling two full sides with sixteen tracks. It includes its own recurring motif in "Die Grüne Regenrinne," split into three parts, and closes with "Wie Zuhause" at 6:03, the longest individual track across the entire collection.

Rotz & Wasser rounds out the box set across two sides, with six tracks on each. It is the only album in the set formatted with six tracks per side rather than four or five.

No catalog number has been assigned to this release. Fact checker should verify album-to-disc assignments, track sequencing accuracy, and confirm the absence of a catalog number with the label.
