Amerigo Gazaway x The Notorious J.B. x James Brown
Sex Machine Gun Funk (Black Vinyl)

Listening notes

Soul Mates Records released Sex Machine Gun Funk on black vinyl in 2019, catalogued under the designation SEXMACHINE. The release is credited to Amerigo Gazaway x The Notorious J.B. x James Brown, a combination of names that positions the project at the intersection of the funk, soul, and hip hop genres.

The record is a single, presenting two versions of the same track across its two sides. The first is Sex Machine Gun Funk (Main), running four minutes and twenty seconds, and the second is Sex Machine Gun Funk (Instrumental), also at four minutes and twenty seconds. The matching durations confirm the instrumental is a direct counterpart to the main version rather than an alternate arrangement of different length.

Soul Mates Records is the releasing label, and the project sits within a creative space that draws on both funk and soul traditions alongside hip hop, as reflected in the genre classifications attached to this release. The involvement of James Brown's name in the artist credit, alongside Amerigo Gazaway and The Notorious J.B., suggests source material or an interpolation connected to Brown's catalog, though the precise nature of that relationship is not elaborated upon in the available documentation for this release.

The format is standard black vinyl, issued in 2019. Beyond the details above, including the catalog number, tracklist, durations, label, year, and credited artists, no further verified information about this release is available to characterize it more fully at this time. A fact checker should confirm all artist credit conventions, label details, and any rights or licensing context before this draft proceeds.
