Bloodshot
The Vinyl Frontier

Listening notes

Bloodshot's The Vinyl Frontier was released in 1997 on Blacklight Records under catalog number BLK10591. The release is formatted as a CD and falls within the genres of gangsta, hardcore hip-hop, and hip-hop.

The album comprises nine tracks: "Nightmares," "Sorcerer's Prayer," "Think To The Daze," "Mugshot," "Night Tonite," "Blind Six (Dub)," "Gangreen," "The Hex," and the title track "The Vinyl Frontier." Track durations are not available in the documented record. The inclusion of "Blind Six (Dub)" indicates that at least one track exists in a dub configuration, distinguishing it from a standard album cut, though no further details about alternate versions are documented here.

The title itself carries a notable self-referential quality, invoking the word "vinyl" on what is documented strictly as a CD release. Whether this reflects anything about the project's origins, intentions, or prior formats is not established in the available facts and should not be assumed.

Blacklight Records, identified here with the qualifier "(3)" to distinguish it from other labels sharing that name, served as the releasing body. No additional information about the label's roster, regional base, or distribution is confirmed in the current data set.

For researchers and catalogers working with late-1990s independent hip-hop releases, The Vinyl Frontier represents a documented entry in the gangsta and hardcore hip-hop space from that period. Personnel, recording details, and any pressing or distribution information are absent from the verified record and have been withheld from this draft accordingly.
