Common Grackle
Old Dog New Tricks Who This

Listening notes

Common Grackle's "Old Dog New Tricks Who This" was released in 2021 on Fake Four Inc. (catalog number FFINC-096) as a vinyl LP in the hip hop genre. Fake Four Inc. is an independent label with a history of releasing underground and experimental hip hop, and this release fits within that catalog context.

The record is spread across two sides, each carrying ten tracks, for a total of twenty selections. The A side opens with "Tiny Aphrodite" and moves through titles including "Bad News," "Terry Fox," "I Seriously Think I'm Going To Die," "Bud Dwyer," "Uncanny Valley," "I Got Scared," "James Fletcher," "Mint Chocolate Chip," and "Happy Camper." The density of tracks per side is notable, though no individual track durations are documented in the available data.

The B side leads with "Prelude (Accapella)" before moving into "Return Of The Grack," "Blue Dress Over Jeans," "Canadian Raisin," "Sorry," "No More Laptops On Stage," "Kitty In A Harness," "Please Stop (Demo)," "Thank Chopped It's Screwday," and "The Great Depression." The inclusion of a track labeled as a demo and another identified as an a cappella prelude are points of interest visible in the tracklist itself, though what these designations signify beyond their titles is not confirmed in the available documentation.

Track durations are not available in the verified data for this release. Personnel, production credits, and pressing details are similarly outside the scope of what can be confirmed here and are omitted accordingly. Prospective collectors and researchers should consult label documentation or discographical databases for additional specifics.
