DJ Self (2)
Raw Street Vol.1 Vinyl 1

Listening notes

DJ Self (2) released "Raw Street Vol. 1 Vinyl 1" on the War (10) label under catalog number WAR-001. The release is a vinyl format Hip Hop record comprising four tracks spread across two sides.

Side A opens with "Rawkus Wreck" at the A1 position, followed by "The Streets" at A2. Side B carries "Magnificent-Rahzel" at B1 and closes with "Stranded On Rawkus" at B2. Track durations are not documented in the available data.

The tracklist offers a few points of note for collectors and researchers working to place this release in context. The titles "Rawkus Wreck" and "Stranded On Rawkus" both contain a reference to Rawkus Records, the New York-based independent Hip Hop label that operated prominently in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Whether these titles reflect an associative, competitive, or purely stylistic nod to that label cannot be determined from the information currently available and warrants further research. The track "Magnificent-Rahzel" includes the name Rahzel in its title, which may indicate an involvement or reference to the beatboxer and producer known by that name, though this cannot be confirmed from existing documentation.

No release year is recorded in the current data, which may present a challenge for those attempting to situate this record within a broader timeline of the artist's output or the surrounding Hip Hop landscape.

The catalog number WAR-001 suggests this may have been among the first, or the first, release on the War (10) imprint, though the full scope and history of that label's catalog is not established here.
