Faith Evans
Limited Edition DJ Vinyl

Listening notes

Faith Evans's Limited Edition DJ Vinyl, released on Bad Boy Entertainment in 2001 under catalog number BBDP-9428, is a seven-track vinyl release drawing from the Contemporary R&B, Funk/Soul, and Hip Hop genres the artist had built her reputation within.

The release is spread across two sides. The A-side opens with "Alone In This World" at three minutes and fifty-one seconds, followed by "You Gets No Love" at four minutes and one second, "Burnin' Up" at three minutes and twenty-nine seconds, and "Back To Love" at three minutes and forty-three seconds. The B-side carries "Can't Believe," the longest track on the release at five minutes even, followed by a Club Mix of "You Gets No Love (Remix)" running four minutes and fourteen seconds, and closing with "Faithfully" at three minutes and fifty-five seconds.

The presence of a Club Mix of "You Gets No Love" alongside its standard version positions this release as a format aimed at DJs and radio programmers rather than general retail consumers, a function consistent with the DJ vinyl format designation and the label's Bad Boy Entertainment imprint. The catalog number BBDP-9428 reflects that specific designation within Bad Boy's numbering system.

The total runtime across seven tracks amounts to approximately twenty-eight minutes and thirteen seconds, a running length practical for the promotional and DJ use context suggested by the release's title and format.
