Saga Of Sage: Quadrilogy Vinyl Boxset

Listening notes

Released in 2022 on Freedom Sounds, the Saga Of Sage: Quadrilogy Vinyl Boxset collects four albums by Navy Blue into a single physical edition spanning four vinyl records across ten sides of programming. The set is catalogued under the Hip Hop and Jazzy Hip-Hop genres and carries no assigned catalog number.

The structure of the boxset follows a named chapter format. Book I, subtitled Song of Sage: Post Panic!, occupies sides A through D and contains nineteen listed tracks, including an untimed bonus track at position D4. Running times across the first two sides range from under three minutes to just over four, with "Tired" at 4:07 representing the longest individual track in that section. Book II, Gift of Gabriel: Rain's Reign!, fills sides E and F with fourteen tracks, the briefest of which, "Cinnamon Sugar," clocks in at 1:19. Book III, Crypt of Carlos: Onward!, runs across sides G and H and accounts for fourteen tracks, with "The Telling Tale" at 3:31 standing as that chapter's longest entry. Book IV, Arc of Atreyu: Neverending!, concludes the set across sides I and J, again with fourteen tracks, closing on "No Difference" at 2:05.

In total the set presents sixty-one listed tracks, with the sole untimed entry being the bonus track that closes Book I. Individual track durations across the full set are predominantly in the two-to-three-minute range, with few exceptions extending past four minutes. The boxset format and the chapter-based titling indicate a conceptual sequencing across the four component releases, though the verified data does not specify whether the individual albums were previously issued separately or originated as a unified project.
