Peanut Butter Wolf
My Vinyl Weighs A Ton

Listening notes

Peanut Butter Wolf's My Vinyl Weighs A Ton was released in 1999 on Copasetik Recordings under catalog number COPA004CD. Issued as a CD in the hip hop genre, the album carries a title that makes its allegiances plain, even if the format itself is not vinyl.

The sequencing across the disc's 24 tracks is notably varied in terms of duration. Several tracks function as brief interludes or transitional pieces — "Sit Down Shut Up" runs just 15 seconds, "Barter" 21 seconds, "Top Illin" 22 seconds, "Mr. Dibbs" 22 seconds, "Ten Minutes Left" 19 seconds, and "Hawaii 5000" 18 seconds — while longer, fully developed tracks anchor the program. "Tale Of Five Cities" is the album's most substantial single piece at 8 minutes and 50 seconds, followed by "Styles Crew Flows Beats" at 5 minutes and 50 seconds and "Run The Line" at 5 minutes and 18 seconds. "Keep On Rockin It" and "Breaks 'Em Down" each occupy a mid-range position at 4 minutes and 31 seconds and 3 minutes and 59 seconds respectively.

The 24-track structure, with its recurring short passages interspersed among full-length cuts, suggests a deliberate approach to pacing and program design rather than a straightforward collection of standalone songs. Whether those brief tracks serve as skits, samples, or spoken segments cannot be confirmed from the available information alone and is left for the fact checker to verify.

The label designation Copasetik Recordings and the catalog suffix CD confirm the format. No additional personnel, production credits, or release variant information is available for inclusion in this draft.
