Pharcyde, The
Delicious Vinyl Other Fish Mix E.P.

Listening notes

The Pharcyde released music on Delicious Vinyl, the Los Angeles-based hip hop label, and this vinyl EP — catalogued as A8451T — collects four distinct versions of "Other Fish" across two sides. The format is straightforward: the A-side carries The Angel Mix and The Heavy Head O.G Mix, while the B-side presents the L.A. Jay Remix alongside the Original Mix.

The sequencing places three remixes around the original, giving listeners a chance to hear how different approaches shape the same source material. The inclusion of the Original Mix on the B-side rather than leading the release is a choice worth noting, as it positions the reworked versions as the primary draw. Whether that reflects the label's confidence in the remixes or simply a practical sequencing decision is not something the available facts can settle.

Delicious Vinyl's catalog number A8451T identifies this pressing within the label's output, though no release year is documented in the available information. Track durations are also unconfirmed, so the overall runtime of the EP cannot be stated with accuracy.

For collectors and researchers, the EP represents a snapshot of a common hip hop release practice — issuing a single track across multiple mixes on vinyl to serve DJs and format enthusiasts simultaneously. The Pharcyde's association with Delicious Vinyl is the anchoring context here, situating this release within that label's broader hip hop catalogue.

This is an unreviewed draft. Personnel, recording details, pressing origins, release date, and reception have not been confirmed and are absent from this text. A fact checker should verify the catalog number attribution, confirm the release year if possible, and clarify whether additional pressings exist under the same or variant catalog numbers.
