Hochkultur Vinyl Abo

Listening notes

Samy Deluxe's Hochkultur Vinyl Abo, released in 2023 on Vertigo under catalog number 0602458801903, is a substantial box set spanning eight vinyl records. Positioned within the boom bap and hip-hop genres, the package brings together a range of material organized across distinct groupings, each occupying its own section of the set.

The tracklist is structured around several named components. The first centers on "Roter Velour," presenting the track across six variations spread over two sides: an album version, instrumental, and a cappella on the A side, followed by an original demo and its corresponding instrumental and a cappella counterparts on the B side. A second grouping, labeled "Train Sessions 2023," collects five tracks across sides C and D, including an "ASD Track," "Mikrodose," and a piece titled "Train Onetakewonder." The "Yves Klein" section occupies two full sides, pairing an album version with a 2020 demo version. Subsequent groupings include "Sugar Sammitch x Demotape," presenting both tracks alongside their instrumentals, and the "Favorite EP," which contains "Blubb," "Favorite," and "Zauber" in addition to three instrumental counterparts. Single-track sections for "Kassensturz" and "Part Drölf" each appear with a corresponding instrumental side.

The final portion of the set, "Hochkultur II Instrumentals," is the most expansive, running across four sides and compiling instrumental versions of titles including "Martinshorn," "Masterclass," "Vendetta," "Kalte Füße," "Antidepressiva," "Last Exit," "A.S.A.," "Instinkt," "Brainwash," "Waxfigur," "Don Quixote," "Immortal," and "Blanco Check," among others.

In total, the box set contains more than fifty individual track listings. No durations are confirmed for any entry in the available data.
