Sean Price
The Gorilla Vinyl Box Set

Listening notes

Released in 2016 on Duck Down Music Inc. (catalog number DDM-LP-2460), The Gorilla Vinyl Box Set compiles three Sean Price albums — Monkey Barz, Jesus Price Supastar, and Mic Tyson — onto vinyl across a multi-record box set. The format listing describes the release as "Vinyl, Vinyl, Vinyl, Box Set," indicating a three-LP package, with the full tracklist spanning sides A through L.

The sequencing follows each album in turn. Monkey Barz occupies sides A through D, with its seventeen listed tracks including "Peep My Words," "Brokest Rapper You Know," "Spliff N Wessun," and a bonus track identified as "Rising To The Top (Grand Theft Auto Theme Song)." Jesus Price Supastar runs across sides E through H, opening with "Intro (Jesus Price)" and closing side H with "Mess You Made." The third album, Mic Tyson, fills sides I through L, ending the set with "Battering Bars" and "The Hardest Ni**a Out" on side L.

The box set was issued under the Hip Hop genre classification. Duck Down Music Inc., the label that released the set, had previously worked with Sean Price throughout his solo career.

The release came after Price's death in August 2015, making this a posthumous vinyl presentation of his three solo studio albums collected under one release. No additional information about pressing details, edition size, or supplementary materials is confirmed by the available data.
