Suff Daddy / Figub Brazlevič
Beatgeeks 002

Listening notes

Beatgeeks 002 is a vinyl release from 2013 issued on Beatgeeks Records under catalog number BEATGEEKS 002. It is a split or collaborative release credited to Suff Daddy and Figub Brazlevič, two artists working within the hip hop and instrumental genres.

The record contains three tracks spread across two sides. The A-side opens with "Moog Shit," a brief piece running just under a minute at 52 seconds, followed by "Where's My Henny," which extends to 3 minutes and 34 seconds. The B-side carries a single track, "Über Wasser Halten," at 3 minutes and 2 seconds. The German title of the B-side track translates roughly to "Keeping One's Head Above Water," a detail that may interest collectors attentive to the cultural contexts these producers work within.

The release sits within a catalog series implied by its numbering, Beatgeeks 002, suggesting it is the second entry under the Beatgeeks Records imprint. Beyond what the catalog information confirms, the specific circumstances of the release, including personnel, pressing details, and distribution, are not documented here and would require additional sourcing before any claims could be made.

At a total runtime of just over seven and a half minutes across three tracks, this is a compact release by any measure. Whether that brevity was a deliberate aesthetic choice or a function of the format's constraints is not something the available facts can resolve. What can be said is that the release represents a documented point of collaboration between Suff Daddy and Figub Brazlevič within instrumental hip hop, captured in a physical vinyl format during a period when that format retained active relevance among producers and collectors in the genre.
