Various
Fideles Au Vinyl

Listening notes

Fidèles Au Vinyl is a various artists hip hop compilation released in 1993. Issued with no catalog number and carrying no label affiliation, the record falls into the self-released category, appearing under the designation "Not On Label." The compilation was released on vinyl and contains ten tracks spread across two sides.

Side A opens with "J'Excèlle" and continues through "L'Immigré," "Les Princes-Evêques," "Je Me Pose La Question," and "Karaktère K." Side B carries five additional tracks: "Voie Sans Issue," "Remédier Aux Problèmes," "Magnifique Est La Masturbation Du Fric," "Bizness - Freestyle," and "Cutsalamiguane - Dedikuts." The French-language titles across the tracklist suggest the compilation originates from a French-speaking context, though no specific country of origin is confirmed in the available documentation.

The absence of a label and catalog number points to a grassroots or self-funded release, a mode of distribution that was not uncommon within independent hip hop circles of the early 1990s. The decision to commit the release to vinyl, reflected directly in the compilation's title, is the one explicit statement the record makes about its own format and intent.

No track durations are documented in the available information, and personnel, production credits, and pressing details are not confirmed at this time. Researchers or collectors seeking additional documentation may wish to consult regional hip hop archives or French-language record databases for supplementary information.
