Mix-Show Vinyl

Listening notes

Bad Boy Entertainment released Mix-Show Vinyl in 1997 under catalog number BBDP-9143. The release is a hip hop twelve-inch formatted as a two-sided promotional or DJ-oriented record, with two tracks on each side.

Side A opens with a club mix of "Niggaz Wanna Act," running four minutes and ten seconds, followed by a club mix of "I Love You Baby" at four minutes and four seconds. Side B carries a club mix of "Long Kiss Goodnight," the longest selection at five minutes and thirty seconds, and closes with a club mix of "Ten Crack Commandments" at three minutes and twenty-six seconds.

The designation Mix-Show Vinyl, combined with the club mix versions across all four positions, suggests the record was assembled with radio mix-show or DJ use in mind rather than retail sale, though the available facts do not confirm its precise distribution context. The catalog prefix BBDP may indicate a promotional designation within Bad Boy's internal numbering system, but this cannot be stated with certainty based on the verified information alone.

Two of the four tracks, "Long Kiss Goodnight" and "Ten Crack Commandments," are associated with the Bad Boy roster of the period, though specific artist attribution for any of the four tracks on this release is not confirmed in the available data and should be verified before publication. The same applies to production credits, session details, and any chart or commercial context.

As a various-artists release from Bad Boy in 1997, this record represents a snapshot of the label's DJ-facing output during a commercially active period in its history, though any broader claims about significance or reception would require additional sourcing. Fact checker should confirm artist attributions, distribution classification, and whether BBDP denotes a promo prefix.
