Vinyl Reanimators Remixes

Listening notes

Released in 1996, Vinyl Reanimators Remixes is a six-track vinyl release catalogued as CO1013 and issued without a named label — credited simply as Not On Label. The format places it among the self-released or independently distributed records that circulated within hip hop communities during that period, though the specific circumstances of its distribution are not documented here.

The release is categorized under Boom Bap and Hip Hop, two genre designations that reflect the dominant production aesthetic of mid-1990s underground and independent rap scenes. Beyond those tags, no personnel, production credits, or recording information is available in the verified record.

The tracklist is structured across two sides, each carrying three tracks. The A side presents vocal versions of three remixes: "East Coast West Coast Killas (Remix)," "Stressed Out (Remix)," and "Art Of Facts (Remix)." The B side mirrors this arrangement exactly, offering instrumental versions of the same three tracks in the same sequence. This vocal-and-instrumental split was a practical configuration common to hip hop vinyl of the era, providing DJs and producers with usable isolated versions of the backing tracks.

The title "East Coast West Coast Killas" carries an obvious resonance given its 1996 release date, a moment when the East Coast–West Coast rivalry was at a visible point in public discourse around hip hop. Whether the track engages with that theme substantively is not something the available facts can confirm.

No durations are listed for any of the six tracks, and no additional release information — pressing details, sleeve notes, or contributing artists — is available within the verified data. This draft should be reviewed and supplemented by a fact checker before publication.
