Vinyl Reanimators / Stretch Armstrong Remixes

Listening notes

Released on vinyl under catalog number JU 26, "Vinyl Reanimators / Stretch Armstrong Remixes" is a hip hop record issued on a self-administered imprint credited simply as Not On Label, attributed to Stretch Armstrong. The release carries no confirmed publication year in available documentation.

The record presents six tracks across two sides, each identified as a remix. Side A opens with "Microphone Master (Remix)," followed by "Doe Or Die (Remix)" and "The Natural (Remix)." Side B carries "Born To Live (Remix)," "Fades 'em All (Remix)," and "Lifecheck (Remix)." No track durations are listed in the available data, and the original artists behind each composition are not confirmed in the verified record.

The Not On Label designation indicates the release was not commercially distributed through a conventional record label infrastructure, a circumstance common in hip hop remix culture where licensing considerations and the nature of remix work sometimes placed releases outside standard commercial channels. The Stretch Armstrong name appears in both the imprint credit and the release title itself, suggesting a direct connection between the curator or remixer and the release's production and distribution, though the specific nature of that role is not confirmed beyond what the title and label credit state.

No release year is verifiable from the available facts, which limits what can be said about the record's context within any particular period of hip hop production. The catalog number JU 26 is documented, though the series or issuing body it belongs to is not elaborated in available records.
