Vinyl Reanimators
Vinyl Reanimators Remixes EP

Listening notes

The Vinyl Reanimators Remixes EP is a 1997 hip hop release issued on vinyl under the catalog number CO4100. The release carries a "Not On Label" designation, indicating it was put out without the backing of a conventional record label.

The EP presents a straightforward six-track structure divided across two sides. The A-side contains three remixes credited to the Vinyl Reanimators: "Street Dreams," "Do You Believe," and "Unstoppable," each bearing the Vinyl Reanimators Remix tag. The B-side mirrors this sequencing exactly, offering instrumental versions of the same three remixes in the same order. This vocal-and-instrumental pairing across the two sides is a format with clear practical utility, giving DJs and producers access to both versions within a single release.

No durations are documented for any of the six tracks. The original artists behind "Street Dreams," "Do You Believe," and "Unstoppable" are not identified in the available catalog data, nor are personnel, producers, or any other credits. What the release does confirm is that the Vinyl Reanimators are responsible for the remix work across all three tracks.

The self-released nature of the record, reflected in the "Not On Label" classification, was not unusual for independent hip hop in 1997, a period when artists and collectives frequently pressed and distributed material outside traditional industry structures. Beyond these documented details, the record's history, reach, and reception remain outside the scope of what the available data can confirm.

For collectors and researchers, the CO4100 catalog number provides a reference point, and the six-track layout offers a clear picture of what the physical release contains. Further documentation regarding personnel or original source material would require additional verification.
