Vinyl Reanimators
Vinyl Reanimators Sampler

Listening notes

The Vinyl Reanimators Sampler is a 1996 vinyl release from an act called Vinyl Reanimators, issued under the catalog number CO1013 on a not-on-label basis, meaning it was self-released or distributed outside of a conventional record label arrangement. The release is catalogued under the genres of Boom Bap and Hip Hop.

The record follows a straightforward six-track structure split evenly across two sides. The A side presents three remixes: "East Coast West Coast Killas (Remix)," "Stressed Out (Remix)," and "Art Of Facts (Remix)." The B side mirrors this sequence exactly, offering instrumental versions of each of those three tracks in the same order. This vocal-and-instrumental pairing across the two sides is a format with practical roots in hip-hop culture, where instrumental versions have historically served DJs and producers, though no specific context for this release's use or distribution has been verified here.

No durations are listed for any of the six tracks. Beyond the genre tags, catalog number, year, and tracklist, the available documentation does not include details about personnel, production credits, or the circumstances surrounding the release. The sampler designation in the title suggests the record may have been intended as a promotional or introductory item, though the nature and scope of any such purpose are not confirmed by the verified facts.

As a self-released record from 1996 operating within the Boom Bap and Hip Hop spaces, the Vinyl Reanimators Sampler represents a moment when independent vinyl releases were a common vehicle for artists working outside major label infrastructure. What more can be said about this release with confidence must wait on further documentation.
