Abyssal
Antikatastaseis

Listening notes

Abyssal's Antikatastaseis was released in 2015 on Iron Bonehead Productions as a vinyl edition. The album spans a double LP format, its seven tracks distributed across four sides. Side A opens with "I Am The Alpha And Omega" and continues with "The Cornucopian." Side B carries "Veil Of Transcendence" and "Telomeric Erosion." Side C presents "A Casual Landscape" followed by "Chrysalis," while Side D is given entirely to the closing track, "Delere Auctorem Rerum Ut Universum Infinitum Noscas," a Latin phrase that translates roughly to an instruction to destroy the author of things in order to know the infinite universe.

The album is catalogued under the genres of black metal, death metal, and rock, a combination that reflects the broad framing sometimes applied to extreme metal releases that resist easy classification. Iron Bonehead Productions, a German label, has historically focused on underground extreme metal, and this release sits within that context.

No catalog number is associated with this pressing in the available documentation. Track durations are not listed in the verified data.

The album title itself, Antikatastaseis, is a Greek word meaning substitutions or replacements, a term with applications in linguistics and mathematics. Whether that meaning bears on the album's content or sequencing is not something the available facts can confirm.
