Acid Witch
Midnight Movies

Listening notes

Acid Witch's Midnight Movies arrived in 2015 through Hells Headbangers, the label's catalog number HELLS MLP 034 placing it within an imprint that has long operated at the harder edges of heavy metal. The release is a four-track vinyl offering, with two tracks assigned to each side: "I'm Back" and "After Midnight" on the A-side, and "Soldiers of the Night" and "Partytime" on the B-side.

The format itself is worth noting for collectors approaching this release. Cataloged under the MLP designation, Midnight Movies sits in that practical middle ground between a standard single and a full-length album, a format that suits a band whose output has tended toward shorter, concentrated releases. Four tracks across two sides gives the record a defined shape without overstaying its welcome, though track durations are not confirmed in the available documentation and should be verified independently before publication.

Hells Headbangers, the Detroit-area label responsible for this release, has built its catalog around bands operating within doom, death, black metal, and related subgenres, making Acid Witch a logical fit for the roster. The genres listed for Midnight Movies are Heavy Metal and Rock, which should be treated as broad categorical descriptors rather than precise stylistic characterizations until further editorial review can confirm appropriate genre language for this release.

For collectors and researchers documenting this title, the confirmed details are as follows: released 2015, label Hells Headbangers, catalog number HELLS MLP 034, vinyl format, four tracks. Any additional claims regarding pressing variants, personnel, or production details would require source verification before inclusion in a finalized entry.
