Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra
Summer Mailbox Invasion! 7" Vinyl Club

Listening notes

Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra released the Summer Mailbox Invasion! 7" Vinyl Club through 8ft. Records in 2012. The release takes the form of a box set containing multiple 7" vinyl records, with the format listed as Vinyl, Vinyl, Vinyl, Vinyl, Box Set — indicating four individual singles collected together under one package.

Across the four discs, the set presents eight tracks in total, two per record, spanning the Alternative Rock and Rock genres. The A and B sides of the first record carry "Do It With A Rock Star" and "Lost" respectively. The second disc pairs "The Killing Type" with "Grown Man Cry." The third features "Want It Back" on the C side and "Melody Dean" on the D side, while the fourth and final record closes the set with "Massachusetts Ave." and "Denial Thing."

The title's framing as a mailbox invasion and club suggests the release was conceived as a subscription or direct-to-fan delivery model, consistent with approaches Palmer was exploring during this period following her prominent use of crowdfunding and direct audience engagement. However, the verified data does not confirm specific details about how the club operated, how many subscribers participated, or the circumstances under which individual records were distributed.

No catalog number is assigned to this release. Track durations are not documented in the available data.
