Listening notes
Released in 2021 on Nuclear Blast (catalog number NB 5565-1), Vinyl Collection 2006–2020 is a box set from Finnish rock band Amorphis gathering material that spans, as the title indicates, a fourteen-year period of the band's output. The set is listed under the broad genre classification of rock.
The scope of the collection is considerable. Nine separate albums or releases are represented across the vinyl sides, running from the A sides through to AH, with individual sides labeled sequentially through the standard alphabet and then continuing into double-letter designations. The included titles, presented as discrete sections within the set, are Eclipse, Silent Waters, Skyforger, Magic & Mayhem – Tales From The Early Years, The Beginning Of Times, Circle, Under The Red Cloud, Queen Of Time, and Live At Helsinki Ice Hall. That final entry indicates the box set contains at least one live recording alongside the studio material.
The tracklist across these discs is extensive. Eclipse opens with "Two Moons" and closes its side with "Stone Woman," while Silent Waters contributes tracks including "Weaving The Incantation," "A Servant," "Silent Waters," "Towards And Against," and "I Of Crimson Blood." The live component, Live At Helsinki Ice Hall, occupies sides AE through AH and draws its setlist from across the broader catalog, including tracks such as "House Of Sleep," "Sampo," "Silver Bride," "Black Winter Day," and "My Kantele."
Track durations are not listed in the available data, and no information regarding personnel, pressing specifications, or edition details can be confirmed from the verified facts on hand. Fact-checker should verify album-to-disc correspondence and confirm whether Magic & Mayhem – Tales From The Early Years constitutes a studio or compilation release within this set.
