Anthrax
Anthems

Listening notes

Anthrax released Anthems on Megaforce Records in 2023, offering the New York band's takes on eight tracks drawn from rock and related genres. The vinyl edition spreads the material across two sides, with four tracks on each.

Side A opens with "Anthem," followed by "T.N.T.," "Smokin'," and "Keep On Runnin'." Side B moves through "Big Eyes," "Jailbreak," "Black Math," and closes with "Carry On Wayward Son." The source material points toward a cross-section of classic rock, with titles associated with Rush, AC/DC, Boston, and other touchstones of the era those bands represent. "Black Math" is a departure from that pattern, being a track associated with The White Stripes rather than the broader classic rock field that most of the other selections suggest.

Megaforce Records, the label that originally signed Anthrax in the early 1980s alongside other acts central to the development of American heavy metal and thrash, serves as the releasing imprint here. The pairing of label and artist carries its own historical context for collectors familiar with that period, though no catalog number has been confirmed for this release.

No track durations are available in verified form at this time, and that information should be confirmed before publication. Similarly, details regarding pressing variants, color editions, or regional differences in the vinyl release have not been established from the available facts and are omitted here pending further research.

Collectors and fans looking to document this release should treat the above tracklist and label attribution as the confirmed core details, and verify any additional claims about personnel, production credits, or manufacturing against primary sources before treating them as established.
