Anti-Cimex

Listening notes

Anti Cimex's self-titled release, issued by Svart Records in 2014 under catalog number SVR304, is a vinyl release catalogued across the genres of hardcore, punk, and rock. The record presents six tracks spread across two sides, offering a concise program that moves from "Prelude E-Minor / Criminal Trap" through "Time To ?," "Make My Day," and "Smell Of Silence" on the A-side, before continuing with "Pain Killer" and "Set Me Free" on the B-side.

Svart Records, a Finnish label with an established history of reissuing and archiving material from heavy, underground, and extreme music traditions, serves here as the releasing body. The pairing of a label of that profile with Anti Cimex, a band associated with Swedish hardcore and punk, fits within the broader project of preserving and making available recordings from that lineage through the vinyl format.

The tracklist itself gives some indication of the record's character. The opening piece, "Prelude E-Minor / Criminal Trap," suggests a structural arrangement that moves from an introductory passage into the body of the track, while titles such as "Pain Killer" and "Set Me Free" are consistent with the directness commonly associated with hardcore and punk songwriting conventions. Track durations are not available in the documentation consulted for this draft.

This release carries catalog number SVR304 and was made available in 2014. Collectors and researchers working within the Swedish hardcore and punk space may find it a useful reference point, though any claims beyond what the documentation confirms — including pressing details, personnel, or the specific context of this release relative to the band's broader discography — should be verified independently before publication.
