Listening notes

Daybreaker by Architects (2) was issued on vinyl in 2018 through Backbite Records under catalog number BBR-064. The release falls within the metalcore and rock genres and spreads eleven tracks across two sides of a standard LP configuration.

Side A opens with "The Bitter End" at two minutes and fifty-three seconds, followed by "Alpha Omega" at three minutes and fifty-five seconds. "These Colours Don't Run" runs four minutes and one second, and "Daybreak" — the track sharing its root with the album title — clocks in at three minutes and thirty-two seconds. "Truth, Be Told" is the longest track on the first side at four minutes and thirty-one seconds, and side A closes with "Even If You Win, You're Still A Rat" at three minutes and twelve seconds.

Side B begins with "Outsider Heart" at three minutes and twenty-eight seconds, followed by "Behind The Throne" at four minutes and eight seconds. "Devil's Island" runs four minutes and six seconds, and "Feather Of Lead" is the shortest entry on side B at two minutes and fifty seconds. The record closes with "Unbeliever," the longest track on the album overall, at four minutes and forty-five seconds.

The eleven tracks total approximately forty-one minutes of running time distributed across the two sides. The sequencing places the two longest tracks — "Truth, Be Told" and "Unbeliever" — as the penultimate track on each respective side, with shorter pieces bookending the program at both the opening and near the close of side B.
