Listening notes

C.H.A.O.S. is a 2017 vinyl compilation released through Art Of Propaganda, bringing together six acts operating across black metal, death metal, and rock: Asag, Bölzer, Goatfukk, Antiversum, Deathcult (5), and Blakk Old Blood. The release carries no catalog number.

The compilation is divided across two sides, each housing three tracks. Side A opens with "Spear Of Ea," followed by "Born Led God Death" and "Thy Way Beyond." Side B presents "Chaos Nero," "Death In July," and "Endless War." No track durations are documented.

The six contributing acts represent a cross-section of the underground extreme metal scene as it existed in that mid-decade period. Bölzer, the Swiss duo, had by 2017 established a presence within international black and death metal circles. The remaining acts — Asag, Goatfukk, Antiversum, Deathcult (5), and Blakk Old Blood — share space here on a format that has long served as a vehicle for underground metal releases, where the compilation format allows labels to present multiple artists within a single physical object.

Art Of Propaganda, a label with a documented focus on extreme metal, served as the releasing body for this record. The absence of a catalog number is noted and may be of interest to collectors or researchers attempting to place the release within the label's broader output.
