Bad Secret
Vinyl-ONE

Listening notes

Bad Secret's Vinyl-ONE, released in 2021 on The Ragpicker Merch (catalog number TRM-001), is a vinyl record operating within the pop punk and rock genres. The release presents four tracks — "Darklin Reach," "The Valley Of Shale," "Silver River (Beware)," and "Chard Rush" — across both sides of the record, with the Side A and Side B sequencing appearing identical in title and order.

That structural choice is among the most immediately notable features the available documentation can confirm. Whether the mirrored sequencing reflects an intentional artistic decision, a specific pressing configuration, or some other intent is not established by the verified facts at hand, and any interpretation offered here would be speculative.

The label name, The Ragpicker Merch, suggests an operation positioned closer to the artist-direct or independent merchandise end of the industry, though the nature of the label's broader activity is not documented here. The catalog designation TRM-001 places this release first in the label's known sequence, making it the inaugural entry under that imprint by available record.

No track durations are confirmed for any of the eight listed positions, which limits the ability to assess the record's overall runtime or the proportion of the program each track occupies.

Collectors and researchers approaching this entry should treat the duplicate side structure as the primary distinguishing characteristic on record. The titles themselves — "Darklin Reach" and "The Valley Of Shale" in particular — carry evocative language, though nothing verified here speaks to lyrical content, thematic intent, or compositional context.
