Black Cilice
Banished From Time

Listening notes

Black Cilice's *Banished From Time* was released in 2017 through Iron Bonehead Productions, catalogued as IBP321, and issued on vinyl. The record carries genre classifications of black metal and rock, and its five tracks are distributed across two sides.

Side A opens with "Timeless Spectre," the longest piece on the record at nine minutes and forty-nine seconds, followed by "On The Verge Of Madness," which runs eight minutes and fifty-two seconds. The two tracks together account for just under nineteen minutes of the album's total runtime. Side B carries three tracks: "Possessed By Night Spirits" at four minutes and fifty-five seconds, "Channeling Forgotten Energies" at five minutes and nineteen seconds, and "Boiling Corpses" closing the record at eight minutes and nine seconds. The full runtime across both sides comes to approximately thirty-seven minutes.

The track titles and their sequencing are worth noting for what they suggest about the record's internal logic. The longer, more expansive pieces anchor each side, with Side B's shorter opening tracks building toward the extended closing piece. Whether that structure reflects deliberate sequencing decisions is not something the available facts can confirm, and no claim about artistic intent is made here.
