Listening notes

Blue October (2) — identified here with the Discogs disambiguation to distinguish the act from other artists sharing the name — is the subject of a substantial vinyl reissue released in 2024 on Up/Down-Brando Records. The set, titled Collected Series: Deluxe Vinyl Box Set 1998 - 2004, carries no catalog number in available documentation. It is listed as a box set comprising four vinyl components, spanning genres categorized as Alternative Rock, Indie Rock, and Rock.

The four titles collected within the set are The Answers, Consent To Treatment, History For Sale, and Argue With a Tree, with the date range in the box set title suggesting these albums originate from the period 1998 through 2004. The Answers is spread across three sides — A, B, and C — with tracks including "The Answer," "Two A.M. Lovesick," "For My Brother," "Sweet And Somber Pigeon Wings," and "Black Orchid," among others. Consent To Treatment occupies four sides and opens with the brief "Retarded Disfigured Clown" at 0:43 before moving through tracks such as "Independently Happy," "James," "Balance Beam," and "Angel." History For Sale also fills four sides and includes "Ugly Side," "Calling You," "Inner Glow," and "Come In Closer." Argue With a Tree is the largest component, running six sides — A through F — and carries the longest individual track list of the four, closing with "18th Floor Balcony," for which no duration is listed in available documentation.

Several tracks appear across more than one album in the set, among them "The Answer," "Breakfast After Ten," "Independently Happy," "Drop," "Balance Beam," and others, with differing durations noted between appearances. No pressing details, personnel credits, or production information are available in the verified data for this entry. Human fact-checker should confirm catalog number status, per-disc vinyl count, and all track timings against physical documentation.
