Candlemass
House Of Doom

Listening notes

Candlemass returned to Napalm Records in 2018 with House Of Doom, a four-track release issued under catalog number NPR 780 VINYL. Spread across two sides, the record opens with the title track on the A-side, followed by "Flowers Of Deception." The B-side carries "Fortune Teller" and closes with "Dolls On A Wall."

The release sits within the doom metal and rock genres, positioning it within the broader tradition Candlemass has long occupied. With four tracks distributed evenly across both sides, the format suits the deliberate pacing that doom metal tends to demand, though the verified details do not permit specific claims about how the material sounds or how the vinyl format serves the recordings in practice.

What the catalog record confirms is straightforward: a four-track vinyl issued through an established metal-focused label in 2018, with a clean side-by-side arrangement and a catalog number that places it firmly within Napalm Records' documented output for that period. Beyond the tracklist and release details, a fact checker should verify any additional claims regarding personnel, pressing variants, chart performance, or the circumstances surrounding the recording before those elements appear in a finalized entry.
