Candlemass
The Pendulum

Listening notes

Candlemass released The Pendulum as a vinyl EP on Napalm Records in 2020, carrying the catalog number NPR 932 VINYL. The release falls under the genres of doom metal and rock, and its six-track program is split across two sides.

The title track opens the A-side at position A1, followed by two tracks explicitly designated as unreleased demos: "Snakes of Goliath" and "Sub Zero." The B-side continues in the same vein, presenting three further unreleased demos — "Aftershock," "Porcelain Skull," and "The Cold Room." The consistent demo designation across five of the six tracks is the most immediately notable structural feature of this release, suggesting that a significant portion of the program was drawn from archival or work-in-progress material rather than previously issued recordings.

For collectors and fans approaching this on vinyl, the tracklist composition raises straightforward questions worth keeping in mind. The absence of duration information for any track in the available data means the overall runtime of the record cannot be confirmed here. Prospective buyers should verify running time through other sources before purchase if that factor matters to their format considerations.

The release was handled by Napalm Records, an Austrian label with a long-standing presence in the heavy metal market, though no additional production or personnel details are available from the verified data on hand.

As a doom metal release from a Swedish band with a lengthy history in that genre, The Pendulum sits within a well-established catalog, but this draft makes no claims about where it stands within that catalog beyond what the data directly supports. A fact checker should confirm demo provenance, personnel, and any additional pressing details before this entry is finalized.
