Chelsea Wolfe
Abyss

Listening notes

Chelsea Wolfe's Abyss, released in 2015 on Sargent House (catalog number SH141), is a double LP spread across four sides. The album carries genres of Indie Rock and Rock according to its catalog classification, though the breadth of those labels as applied here is worth noting for any collector approaching the record for the first time.

The vinyl configuration distributes eleven tracks across the four sides in an uneven arrangement. Side A opens with "Carrion Flowers," followed by "Iron Moon" and "Dragged Out." Side B holds "Maw," "Grey Days," and "After The Fall." Side C carries "Crazy Love," "Simple Death," and "Survive." Side D closes the record with "Color Of Blood" and the title track, "The Abyss," making it the shorter of the four sides at two tracks. The decision to place the title track as the final selection on Side D gives the sequencing a particular sense of finality, though the reasoning behind the track distribution across sides is not documented in the available data.

Sargent House issued the album under catalog number SH141. The label, based in Los Angeles, has operated as both a management company and record label, and Wolfe has been a longstanding artist on its roster. No pressing variants, matrix information, or manufacturing details are documented in the verified facts available for this entry.
