Daïtro
Vinyl Collected

Listening notes

Daïtro's *Vinyl Collected*, released in 2010 on Oto Records (catalog number oto#18), is a CD compiling material from the French band that operates within the intersecting territories of emo, hardcore, and rock. The release gathers seven tracks under a title that openly signals its nature as an anthology of previously available material, though the specific sources of those recordings are not detailed here.

The tracklist runs a combined runtime that spans a notable range of individual track lengths, from the brief "Place Tolozan" at one minute and nineteen seconds to the extended closer "Un Fléau Pour Un Autre" at seven minutes and forty-nine seconds. That structural variation — short, compressed pieces sitting alongside tracks that develop at considerably greater length — gives the sequencing an uneven, deliberate quality on paper. The opening pair, "La Substance Et La Matière" and "De L'eau Coule Sous Les Ponts," each run just over five minutes, establishing the front half of the record as its most expansive section before the tracklist moves into shorter, more compressed territory.

All seven titles are in French, which aligns with Daïtro's origins as a Lyon-based band. The label, Oto Records, is the imprint associated with releasing the material in this compiled form.

It is worth noting for researchers that despite the title referencing vinyl, the cataloged format for this release is CD. Whether a separate vinyl edition exists under the same or a different catalog number is not confirmed by the information available here and should be verified independently before publication.
