Deviants (2), The
This Vinyl Is Condemned

Listening notes

The Deviants (2) released *This Vinyl Is Condemned* on the Total Energy label in 2000, catalogued as NER 3027. The record is classified under psychedelic rock and rock, and its tracklist across two sides suggests a project that leans into a certain spirit of irreverence, at least in nomenclature.

Side A opens with "Somewhere To Go" and moves through "Mona," "Attack Ships Of Zeta Reticuli," "I Wanna Drink," "Screwed Up," and "Papa-Oo-Mao-Mao" before closing on "Eating Jello With A Heated Fork." Side B carries seven tracks of its own: "Half Price Drinks," "Billy The Monster," "Nothing Man," "Junior Narco Rangers," "Three Headed Lobster Boy," and closing with "Let's Loot The Supermarket Again." The titles alone mark a consistent sensibility — absurdist, confrontational, and self-aware — though what that translates to sonically is beyond the scope of what the available facts can confirm.

What can be said without speculation is that the album was issued on vinyl at a moment when the format occupied a narrower commercial space than it does today, and that Total Energy, operating under catalog number NER 3027, was the vehicle for its release. Track durations are not documented in available data.

With thirteen tracks spread across two sides, *This Vinyl Is Condemned* is a moderately substantial release by runtime expectation alone, though confirmed play times would be needed to substantiate that further. Collectors and researchers interested in this entry in the psychedelic rock catalog should treat the above as a factual baseline pending additional documentation.
