Listening notes

Dramarama's 1991 release *Vinyl* arrived on Chameleon Records with catalog number 61242-4 in cassette format. The album falls across the genres of alternative rock, pop rock, and rock, and its eleven tracks are divided across two sides.

Side A opens with "Until The Next Time" at 3:19 and moves through "Haven't Got A Clue" (4:02) and "What Are We Gonna Do?" (3:54) before reaching "Classic Rot," which runs 4:22. The side continues with "Memo From Turner" at 3:22 and closes on its longest entry, "Train Going Backwards," at 6:16.

Side B begins with "I've Got Spies" (4:20), followed by the comparatively brief "In Quiet Rooms" at 2:37. "Ain't It The Truth" matches "I've Got Spies" at 4:20, and "Tiny Candles" stretches to 6:31. The album concludes with "(I'd Like To) Volunteer, Please," which runs 5:49.

Taken together, the tracklist shows a program that leans toward extended running times as both sides progress, with the final three tracks on Side B each exceeding four minutes and two of them surpassing six. Side A's total is weighted similarly by its closing track. The album title itself presents an interesting counterpoint to its documented format: *Vinyl* was catalogued here as a cassette release on Chameleon Records, a detail that collectors and researchers tracking the release's various formats may wish to note.

The label designation "Chameleon Records (2)" indicates the specific Chameleon imprint responsible for this release, a distinction that may carry relevance for discographers working to differentiate between labels sharing that name.
