Dribbler (2)
Biglife! - Yellow Vinyl

Listening notes

Dribbler (2) released Biglife! on Magic Moustache Records in 2021, issued under catalog number MMR-004 on yellow vinyl. The record collects nine tracks across a runtime that stays lean throughout most of its sequence before opening up slightly toward the end.

The genre tags associated with the release — alternative rock, garage rock, grunge, punk, rock, and surf — suggest a band working across a fairly wide range of guitar-driven idioms, though what that blend actually sounds like in practice is something a listener would need to discover for themselves.

The tracklist runs as follows: "Much Lighter" (2:23), "Cruz Thru" (2:29), "Metanoia" (2:25), "Biglife!" (3:15), "Bluer" (2:11), "No Energy" (4:32), "Atelo" (2:41), "Yr So Lucky" (2:55), and "La Fraide Rue" (3:03). Seven of the nine tracks fall under three minutes, a pattern consistent with the compressed song structures associated with punk and garage rock traditions, though that observation is drawn strictly from the durations listed and nothing more. "No Energy," at 4:32, is the clear outlier, running nearly ninety seconds longer than any other track on the record. "La Fraide Rue" closes the album at just over three minutes.

The title track lands at position four and runs 3:15, placing it slightly above the album's median track length and at roughly the structural midpoint of the sequence.

Magic Moustache Records assigned this the fourth release in its catalog, based on the MMR-004 designation. The yellow vinyl format distinguishes this physically from a standard black pressing, though no additional details about edition size or availability are on hand to verify here.
