Elvis Presley
Live In Las Vegas

Listening notes

Released by RCA in 2001, Live In Las Vegas is a vinyl box set from Elvis Presley spanning ten sides across five records, with catalog number 5038456410895. The set is listed under the genres of Folk, World, & Country, Pop, Rock, and Rock & Roll.

The tracklist is extensive, running to over ninety individual entries across sides A through J. The program opens on side A with "Blue Suede Shoes," "I Got A Woman," "All Shook Up," and a spoken segment titled "Elvis Welcomes The Audience," before moving through familiar titles including "Love Me Tender," "Jailhouse Rock/Don't Be Cruel," "Heartbreak Hotel," and "Hound Dog." Side B continues with "Runaway," "Are You Lonesome Tonight?," a "Yesterday/Hey Jude" medley, "In The Ghetto," "Suspicious Minds," and "Can't Help Falling In Love." Side C includes a spoken track, "Elvis Talks About His Career," alongside performances of "Long Tall Sally," "Blue Suede Shoes," and "Money Honey."

The later sides broaden the selection considerably. Sides D through F bring in titles such as "That's All Right," "Something," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "Walk A Mile In My Shoes," "Polk Salad Annie," and "Sweet Caroline." Sides G and H extend further, including "Proud Mary," "The Wonder Of You," "An American Trilogy," and "The Impossible Dream." Sides I and J close the set with a range of material encompassing "It's Now Or Never," "How Great Thou Art," "Burning Love," and "America The Beautiful."

Several titles appear more than once across the set — "Hound Dog," "Heartbreak Hotel," "Suspicious Minds," "Blue Suede Shoes," and others recur on different sides, suggesting the content draws from multiple separate performances rather than a single concert document. Spoken interludes and band introductions are also included at various points throughout.
