Evilfeast
Lost Horizons Of Wisdom

Listening notes

Evilfeast's Lost Horizons Of Wisdom received a vinyl release through Amor Fati Productions in 2014 under catalog number AFP 018. The record is catalogued under the genres of black metal and rock.

The album spans five tracks distributed across what the tracklist suggests is a double LP format, given the use of sides A through D. The A side is divided into two tracks: "Algol's Northern Lights," running eleven minutes and thirty-nine seconds, and "Grim Spirit, The Forest Wanderer," at eleven minutes and two seconds. From side B onward, each side carries a single composition. Side B holds "Cages Of Cold Despondency" at thirteen minutes and eight seconds, side C presents "My Tower Among The Timeless Mountain" at nineteen minutes and forty-eight seconds, and side D closes the record with the title track, "Lost Horizons Of Wisdom," at fourteen minutes and nine seconds.

Taken together, the five tracks account for a total runtime of approximately seventy minutes. The individual track lengths, ranging from just over eleven minutes to nearly twenty minutes, indicate that extended compositional structures are a defining feature of the material here. The title track and the side C centerpiece are among the lengthiest individual pieces on the record, with "My Tower Among The Timeless Mountain" representing the longest single composition at just under twenty minutes.

Amor Fati Productions, designated here as Amor Fati (2) in discographical records, serves as the issuing label. The catalog number AFP 018 places this release within that label's documented output.
