Fish
A Feast Of Consequences (2023 Vinyl Remaster)

Listening notes

Fish's A Feast Of Consequences received a vinyl box set remaster in 2023 through Chocolate Frog Records, issued under catalog number FHC037LP. The release spans six sides of vinyl and presents the album's studio recordings alongside a substantial collection of live material drawn from three separate concert dates.

The studio portion occupies the first three sides. Side A opens with "Perfume River," which runs nearly eleven minutes, followed by "High Wood" at five minutes and twenty-six seconds and "Crucifix Corner" at seven minutes and twenty-five seconds. Side B carries four tracks: "The Gathering," "Thistle Alley," "The Leaving," and "Other Side Of Me." Side C completes the studio sequence with the title track, "All Loved Up," "Blind To The Beautiful," and "The Great Unravelling," the last of which closes the studio programme at six minutes and thirty-one seconds.

The remaining three sides are given over entirely to live recordings. The sources are identified precisely in the tracklisting: a performance at the Karlsruhe Substage on 25 October 2013, and two separate sets from the Wurzburg Posthalle on 29 October 2014, with one additional track credited to a Bristol O2 date of 13 December 2017. The live version of "Perfume River" from Wurzburg runs eleven minutes and twenty-seven seconds, slightly longer than the studio take, while "The Great Unravelling" from Bristol extends to eight minutes and sixteen seconds, making it the longest single track across the entire set.

In total the box set contains twenty-two tracks across genres listed as Prog Rock and Rock. The live component accounts for eleven of those tracks and represents performances spread across four years. Collectors and existing fans of the album will find the tracklisting straightforward to navigate, with each live recording carrying a full venue and date credit.
