Has Anyone Unknown To You Handled Or Touched This Vinyl?

Listening notes

Forensics (2) released *Has Anyone Unknown To You Handled Or Touched This Vinyl?* on Magic Bullet Records in 2004, catalogued as MB053. The release is a two-sided vinyl record, with "Boat Day At The Marina" occupying the A-side and "So There's This Movie 'Corvette Summer'" on the B-side. Neither track has a listed duration on record.

Magic Bullet Records, the label behind this release, has been associated with underground and independent music, and the genres listed for this record — hardcore, post rock, and rock — suggest a release situated somewhere at the intersection of those often adjacent scenes. Whether that combination of influences is legible in the music itself is something a listener would need to determine firsthand.

The title of the release is notable on its own terms. *Has Anyone Unknown To You Handled Or Touched This Vinyl?* borrows the kind of language found in security or customs documentation, repurposed here as the name of a record. The track titles share a similar quality — conversational, unhurried, and specific in a way that resists easy categorization. "Boat Day At The Marina" and "So There's This Movie 'Corvette Summer'" both carry an anecdotal register that stands at some remove from the more aggressive connotations of hardcore as a genre label.

This is a 2004 release on a small independent label, formatted as a standard two-track vinyl single or EP. Beyond those facts, the catalog number MB053 places it within Magic Bullet's documented output for that period.
