George Harrison
The Vinyl Collection: Cloud Nine

Listening notes

This 2017 Dark Horse Records release presents Cloud Nine as part of George Harrison's The Vinyl Collection series, issued here in CD format. The album contains eleven tracks spanning the pop, pop rock, and rock genres, with a total runtime that falls comfortably within standard album length.

The tracklist opens with the title track "Cloud 9" at 3:14 and closes with "Got My Mind Set On You" at 3:51. Between those bookends sit nine additional tracks: "That's What It Takes" (3:58), "Fish On The Sand" (3:20), "Just For Today" (4:04), "This Is Love" (3:45), "When We Was Fab" (3:58), "Devil's Radio" (3:52), "Someplace Else" (3:51), "Wreck Of The Hesperus" (3:30), and "Breath Away From Heaven" (3:35). No track exceeds the four-minute mark by more than a few seconds, and "Just For Today" at 4:04 is the longest entry on the record.

One detail worth flagging for the fact checker: the release is categorized here as part of The Vinyl Collection yet the format listed is CD, not vinyl. That apparent discrepancy — a CD edition issued under a series name that foregrounds vinyl — may warrant clarification before this entry is finalized. It is possible this CD was included as a companion disc within a larger vinyl box set configuration, but that cannot be confirmed from the data provided.

No catalog number is listed for this release. Researchers and collectors seeking to identify a specific pressing should verify catalog details through additional sources before relying on this entry for discographic purposes.
