Gogol Bordello
Gypsy Punks (Underdog World Strike) (2xLP, Yellow w/ Black Splatter Vinyl)

Listening notes

Gogol Bordello's *Gypsy Punks (Underdog World Strike)* is getting a new vinyl pressing in 2026 through SideOneDummy Records. The release, catalogued as SD1271-1, arrives as a double LP on yellow vinyl with black splatter and carries the genre tags of folk rock, punk, and rock.

The album's fifteen tracks are spread across the two discs and include titles that have become closely associated with the band's live and recorded output over the years: "Not a Crime," "Immigrant Punk," "Start Wearing Purple," "Avenue B," and the title track "Underdog World Strike" are all present, alongside "Sally," "I Would Never Wanna Be Young Again," "60 Revolutions," "Dogs Were Barking," "Oh No," "Think Locally Fuck Globally," "Illumination," "Santa Marinella," "Undestructable," and "Mishto!" Track timings are not listed for this pressing.

The 2xLP format gives the album room across four sides. The colored vinyl configuration — yellow with black splatter — is a specific variant, which is worth noting for buyers and cataloguers distinguishing it from any standard black pressings or other color variants that may exist or have existed.

SideOneDummy Records is the issuing label, consistent with the band's prior relationship with that imprint. The catalog number SD1271-1 should serve as the primary reference point for identifying this specific pressing.
