Grave Digger (2)
Limited Edition 5 vinyl set

Listening notes

Back On Black issued this five-vinyl set by Grave Digger in 2015 under catalog number BOBV423LP. The release falls within the heavy metal and rock genres and compiles sixty tracks across its five records.

The tracklist is notable for the thematic range it covers. The opening sequence — "The Secrets of Merlin," "Pendragon," "Excalibur," "The Round Table (Forever)," "Morgane Le Fay," and related titles — draws heavily on Arthurian legend. Subsequent tracks shift toward crusades-era imagery, with titles including "Deus Lo Vult," "Knights of the Cross," "Monks of War," "The Keeper of the Holy Grail," "Inquisition," and "Baphomet." A further grouping engages Scottish history at some length, presenting titles such as "William Wallace (Braveheart)," "The Bruce (The Lion King)," "The Battle of Bannockburn," "The Battle of Flodden," "The Ballad of Mary (Queen of Scots)," "Cry for Freedom (James the VI)," "Rebellion (The Clans Are Marching)," and "Culledon Muir," among others.

The set totals sixty listed track positions, though the source data contains a numbering irregularity: two separate titles share position 35, and position 36 does not appear, with the sequence resuming at 37. Whether this reflects a data entry error or an anomaly in the original release documentation is not confirmed here and should be verified against the physical release.

No track durations are available in the source data, so the total runtime cannot be calculated. Personnel, recording origins, and pressing specifications are likewise outside the scope of what the verified facts support.

This is an unreviewed draft. All details, including the track position irregularity, require confirmation against a physical copy or an authoritative source before publication.
