Havukruunu
Rautaa Ja Tulta

Listening notes

Havukruunu's Rautaa Ja Tulta was released in 2018 on Naturmacht Productions as a vinyl record, catalogued under NPV007. The Finnish band operates within the black metal and rock genres, and this release spreads ten tracks across two sides of a standard LP configuration.

Side A opens with "Pakkanen" at four minutes and six seconds, followed by the title track "Rautaa Ja Tulta" running four minutes and forty-six seconds. "Musta Yö" and "Ne Salaperäiset" continue the side at three minutes fifty-seven seconds and four minutes fifty-four seconds respectively. The longest track on Side A is "Valhallan Portit," which runs a full six minutes, closing out before the brief "Verta Ja Tuhkaa," a one-minute-thirty-six-second piece that ends the side.

Side B opens with "Maat Mennyttä Soi" at five minutes and three seconds, followed by "Surmatuli," the longest track on the record at five minutes and thirty-nine seconds. "Joka Puun Takaa" runs five minutes and twenty-seven seconds, and the record closes with "Maan Alainen" at two minutes and fifty-three seconds.

The tracklist is conducted entirely in Finnish, which is consistent with Havukruunu's established practice of composing and titling their work in their native language. The total running time across both sides amounts to roughly forty-four minutes, distributed fairly evenly between the two sides, with Side B running somewhat longer in aggregate than Side A.

Naturmacht Productions, the German label behind this release, has maintained a catalog focused on black metal and related underground genres. The NPV007 catalog designation places this release within their vinyl-specific output. Beyond these documented particulars, further claims about this record's production, personnel, or reception would require independent verification before publication.
