Kings Of The City
No Snake (LTD Edition Double LP Vinyl)

Listening notes

Kings Of The City released No Snake as a limited edition double LP on vinyl in 2015 through Lonesome Dog Records, catalogued as KOTC0002. The release spans fourteen tracks across two records, placing it comfortably in the double album format and drawing from a stated genre range that takes in alternative rock, hip hop, indie rock, and rock.

The tracklist opens with Make Me Worse at three minutes and twenty-six seconds and moves through a sequence that holds mostly in the three-to-five minute range. Sun Is Rising at four minutes and fifty-six seconds and All The Same at four minutes and forty-seven seconds represent some of the longer entries in the first half of the record, while the title track, positioned thirteenth, runs to seven minutes and eight seconds, making it the longest piece on the release by a notable margin. Red, at five minutes and fifty-two seconds, precedes it as the second longest. The closing track, Colours, brings the record to an end at three minutes and fifty-eight seconds.

Track eleven, Lonesome Dog, shares its name with the issuing label, Lonesome Dog Records, a detail that collectors and researchers may find worth noting when tracing the relationship between the artist and the imprint.

The full running time across all fourteen tracks comes to approximately sixty-three minutes and nine seconds, a figure that aligns with the practical demands of the double LP format. The limited edition designation is noted in the release title, though the specific nature or extent of that limitation is not documented in the verified information available here.
