Lynyrd Skynyrd & Blackberry Smoke
Live 12" Vinyl Split

Listening notes

Released in 2013 on Southern Ground Artists, this 12-inch vinyl split pairs Lynyrd Skynyrd and Blackberry Smoke across two sides of live material, presenting each act in a distinct concert setting. The release carries no listed catalog number.

Side A documents Lynyrd Skynyrd performing live in Solvesburg, Sweden on June 9, 2012. The three tracks run a combined runtime that leans into the longer end of the band's catalog: "What's Your Name" clocks in at 3:42, "That Smell" at 5:52, and "Simple Man" at 7:56, the latter extending past the seven-minute mark as the side's closing selection.

Side B shifts to Blackberry Smoke, captured live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on April 12, 2013. Their three tracks follow a similar arc, opening with "Six Ways To Sunday" at 3:45 and "Pretty Little Lie" at 3:42, before closing on "Ain't Much Left Of Me" at 7:32. As with the Skynyrd side, the final track is the longest, giving each half of the record a comparable structural shape.

The release is categorized under rock and Southern rock. Both acts fit broadly within that tradition, and the split format places them in direct proximity without editorial comment from the label beyond the Southern Ground Artists imprint itself.

What the available documentation does not confirm includes personnel, production credits, pressing details, or the circumstances surrounding the release's distribution. Prospective fact-checkers should note the absence of a catalog number, which may complicate discographical placement, and should verify whether additional pressings or variants exist beyond what is currently documented.
