Listening notes
Released in 2025 on 604 Records (catalog number SXOF96137259), the Marianas Trench Limited Edition Vinyl Box Set collects seven albums from the Canadian alternative rock band onto vinyl across a substantial number of records. The set spans roughly two decades of the band's catalog, moving chronologically from Fix Me (2006) through to Haven (2024).
The contents are organized album by album. Fix Me occupies two sides and presents eleven tracks, including "Say Anything," "Shake Tramp," and "Skin and Bones." Masterpiece Theatre (2009) follows across two sides, its twelve tracks concluding with the six-minute-forty-second "Masterpiece Theatre III." Ever After (2011) spreads across four sides — labeled A through D — with twelve tracks, the longest of which is the opening title track at six minutes and thirty-two seconds. Astoria (2015) also occupies four sides and sixteen tracks, closing on "End of An Era," a seven-minute-thirty-nine-second piece. Phantoms (2019) fills two sides with ten tracks. The set then includes Live At The Rave Milwaukee (2022), a four-side, sixteen-track live recording drawn from a 2022 concert, with performances spanning material from across the band's catalog. Finally, Haven (2024), the band's most recent studio album, closes the box set across four sides and thirteen tracks, including the eight-minute-twenty-nine-second title track.
In total the box set compiles material from five studio albums, one earlier studio release, and one live album, representing a significant accumulation of content for collectors and existing fans of the band's work within the alternative rock and rock genres.
