Mayhem
De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive

Listening notes

Mayhem's *De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive* was released in 2017 on a self-released imprint under the catalog number MOR 001, identifying the label simply as Not On Label. The release is classified under the genres of Black Metal and Rock.

The format is vinyl, pressed across four sides, indicating a double LP configuration. The tracklist runs eight titles in total, spread across sides A through D with two tracks per side. Side A opens with "Intro - Funeral Fog" followed by "Freezing Moon." Side B carries "Cursed In Eternity" and "Pagan Fears." Side C presents "Life Eternal" and "From The Dark Past," while Side D closes the record with "Buried By Time And Dust" and the title track, "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas."

The tracklist corresponds to the same eight compositions that appear on Mayhem's studio album *De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas*, originally released in 1994, suggesting this 2017 release documents a live performance of that material in full. The title's inclusion of the word "Alive" further supports this reading, though no additional documentation of the specific performance, venue, date, or recording circumstances is available within the verified facts at hand.

The self-released nature of the record, denoted by the Not On Label designation and the band's own catalog numbering, indicates Mayhem chose to distribute this release independently rather than through an established record label. Track durations are not listed.

This draft is unreviewed and should be verified against primary sources before publication. Claims about the nature of the content as a live recording are inferred from the title and tracklist correspondence and should be confirmed.
