Welcome Home

Listening notes

Millington's *Welcome Home*, released in 2023 under catalog number EP3-062023, is a self-released vinyl record that presents an interesting structural choice worth noting for collectors and cataloguers alike. The release carries genre tags spanning emo, pop punk, rock, and ska — a combination that places it within a broad contemporary DIY lineage without aligning it to any single scene.

The record's most immediately notable feature is its tracklist architecture. Both the A and B sides present the same six titles — "Welcome Home," "Maryanne," "Push Your Luck," "If You're A Burning House, Then I'm The Doors That Lock From The Outside," "Hollywood," and "Solo" — in identical sequence. However, the durations differ across sides for nearly every track. "Welcome Home" runs 3:02 on the A side and 2:56 on the B side. "Push Your Luck" is listed at 3:22 on the A side and 2:48 on the B side. "If You're A Burning House, Then I'm The Doors That Lock From The Outside" clocks in at 2:59 on side A and 3:04 on side B. "Hollywood" runs 3:20 and 3:29 respectively, while "Solo" is 3:45 on the A side and 3:37 on the B side. Only "Maryanne" shares an identical duration — 3:27 — across both sides.

What accounts for these discrepancies is not confirmed by the available data. Whether the two sides represent distinct versions, alternate mixes, or reflect a cataloguing inconsistency is a question this entry cannot answer. That determination is left to the fact checker and any additional documentation that may accompany the physical release.

The record was issued without a label imprint, classified on Discogs as self-released. No distribution partner, pressing plant, or edition information is confirmed here. The catalog number EP3-062023 is the primary identifier for this release.
